Invader Oil Line Connections At The Pump

The outlet to the Crank Case (center seal)  produces twice the oil as the cylinder outlets.

Things to be aware of with the oil system

The oil system needs to be installed correctly.

The oil system must be in sync with the carbs.

The oil system must be bled of all air.

Be extremely careful when installing the nozzle's. These are aluminum and twist off very easily.

There is a visible difference between the cylinder nozzle's and the crankcase nozzle.

Never used compressed air on a banjo fitting. There is an internal check valve that will be damaged.

If damaged the check valve will either allow the oil system to bleed into the cylinder when the engine

is not running or the valve will jamb closed and stop the flow of oil to that cylinder. If the valve allows

oil to bleed into the cylinder it usually just causes a lot of blue smoke at startup but it is possible the

oil line could get air trapped inside. Next time the engine is started that cylinder could run without oil.

There is a procedure in the shop manual to test a banjo fitting. Following this can save a lot of trouble.

Reasons not to remove the oil system

The oil systems used on Kawasaki engines is the best system made. In 15 years of collecting

Kawasaki snowmobiles I have never had an oil system fail. Any trouble with the system will be

from improper installation or dirt/water getting into the oil tank. A very good feature of this type

oil system, as opposed to mixed gas & oil, is that the pump will regulate the flow of oil to the engine

according to how hard the engine is working. At idle it provides about a 120 to 1 mix, at wide

open throttle, when it needs the most oil, it provides about 20 to 1. Mixed gas/oil is a constant,

usually about 50 to 1. Rich at idle, lean when working hard. This can foul plugs at idle and shorten

engine life when working hard. Also, the center seal and bearing on many Kawasaki engines requires

oil from the pump. Removing the oil system will cause the center bearing to run dry.
